by Margarete Susman (1874 - 1966)

Meine Seele ist leiderprobt
Language: German (Deutsch)
Meine Seele ist leiderprobt.
Sie schritt durch ein tiefes Meer von Leid;
Tausend Tropfen blieben
An ihren Fittichen hangen.

Wenn meine Seele die Schwingen hebt
Über Euch, meine Brüder,
Fallen die Tropfen im Sonnenschein
Leuchtend nieder.
Mögen sie sanfter kühlender Tau
Allen brennenden Wunden sein  --
Dann will ich segnen den dunklen Weg,
Segnen das tiefe Meer.
