Wilde Rose
Language: German (Deutsch)
Es war eine sternenlose,
Von Blitzen [schwang're]1 Nacht,
Da ist die wilde Rose
Zum vollen Blühn erwacht.

Da kamst du still gegangen,
Da flogst du auf mich zu.
Ich hielt dich jubelnd umfangen,
Du wilde Rose du!

Es fiel kein Tau, kein Regen,
Die Donner rollten fern,
Es war kein Heil, kein Segen,
Kein Glück für uns, kein Stern.

Und durch die regungslose,
Gewitterschwüle Luft
Ergoß die wilde Rose
Allein noch süßen Duft.
