by Karl Friedrich Wilhelm Beyer (1803 - 1887)

Mein Liedel
Language: German (Deutsch)
Ich weiß ein einz'ges Liedel,
Das hab' ich selbst erdacht,
Das sing' ich spät am Abend
Und früh, wenn ich erwacht.

Es hat ein einz'ge Weise,
Noch Niemand hat's gehört.
Du, Mädel, sollst es hören,
Du bist allein es werth.

Und kurz ist dieses Liedel
Wie es kein zweites gibt:
Ich lieb' dich, liebes Mädel,
Und hab' dich stets geliebt.

Confirmed with Die neue Sängerhalle, dritte Jahrgang, ed. by Müller von der Werra, Leipzig: Robert Friese Verlag, 1864, page 65. Appears on front page of issue no. 9, dated 27. Februar 1864.
