by Joseph Huggenberger (1865 - 1938?)

Erwachen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Schon dämmert's leise; durch's Geäst
Die letzten Schatten fliehen;
Das Füchslein schleicht zu seinem Bau,
Zu Tal die Nebel ziehen.

Bald da, bald dort, ganz schüchtern noch
Ein Stimmchen bricht das Schweigen;
Schon heller klingt vom Nachbarnest
Die Antwort aus den Zweigen.

Und morgenfrisch die Frühlingsluft
Umfächelt alle Wipfel,
Mit gold'nem Kuß der erste Strahl
Weckt auf die grünen Gipfel...

Der Wald erwacht; und sehnsuchtvoll
In jugendlichem Regen
Er seine Arme breitet weit
Dem leuchtenden Tag entgegen.
