Wach' auf vom Schlummer, Du süßes Kind, Die Lieb' ist kommen, Wach auf geschwind! Die Lieb' ist kommen Mit raschem Schritt, Und bringt dir Rosen Und Küsse mit. Und hast du indes mich Treulos gemeint, Und hast du stille Um mich geweint: Ich lächl' ins Herz dir Frieden hinab Und küsse die Thränen Dir alle ab. Nach Blumen hab' ich So lange gesucht, Auf grünen Hügeln, In tiefer Schlucht. Das Leid entschwindet. Die Klagen verweh'n, Die Lieb' allein muß Ewig besteh'n.
