Viel hundert weiße Liljen Im Klostergarten stehn; Die roten, roten Rosen Sind noch einmal so schön. Die roten, roten Rosen, Die darf ich gar nicht ziehn; Im Klostergarten dürfen Bloß weiße Liljen blühn. Drei rote Rosen fallen Vor meine Füße hin; Es fließen meine Tränen, Daß ich eine Nonne bin. Ach Reiter, junger Reiter, Behalt die Rosen dein; Mir blühen bloß die Liljen, Doch nicht die Röselein.
