by Friedrich Heinrich Oser (1820 - 1891)

Im Grünen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Schallt keck von hohen Bäumen
Der Vögel Sang ins Haus,
Kein Wunder, daß es wiederhallt
So frisch und froh daraus!

Schickt früh und spät die Sonne
Durch's Grün ihr schönstes Licht,
Kein Wunder, daß im Hause drin
Lacht jegliches Gesicht!

Weht's durch die alten Wipfel
Herab so wunderbar,
Kein Wunder, zieht in's Haus hinein
Gleich mit der Engel Schaar!

Ja! wo gebaut im Grünen,
Recht mitten drin, ein Haus,
Kein Wunder, daß ein Dank dir Gott
Schallt Tag und Nacht heraus!

Confirmed with Neue Lieder von Friedrich Oser, Basel: M. Bernheim, 1885, page 35
