by Julius Karl Reinhold Sturm (1816 - 1896)

Heimkehr aus dem Walde
Language: German (Deutsch)
Es tröpfelt! Horch! Schon peitscht der Wind
Die Wipfel mit Gebraus.
Nehmt Korb und Krug und lauft geschwind,
Wir haben weit nach Haus.

Mariechen, weine doch nicht so!
Nimm meinen Schirm zum Schutz,
Und hör, wie dort das Vöglein froh
Dem Regen singt zum Trutz.

Begierig schlürfen Blut und Blatt
Die kühlen Tropfen ein,
Und wenn sich`s ausgeregnet hat,
Wird`s um so schöner sein.
