by Franz (Georg Gustav) Kern (1830 - 1894)

Frühling sprosst zu meinen Füssen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Frühling sprosst zu meinen Füssen,
Braune Buchen warden grün,
Überall ein fröhlich Grüssen,
Überall ein mächtig Blüh'n.

Manches Jahr hat mild umflossen
Mich derselbe Frühlingsglanz,
Aber all das Blüh'n und Sprossen
Erst seit Kurzem fass' ich's ganz.

Wie sich Blüte drängt an Blüte,
Wie es knospet, keimt und quillt,
So ward Lenz mir im Gemüte,
Seit dort wohnt dein liebes Bild.
