Das Lorbeerblatt
Language: German (Deutsch)
Das dunkelgrüne Lorbeerblatt
Im dunkelblonden Haar,
Das ist's, was mich gefangen hat,
Bezaubert ganz und gar.

In meinen Träumen malt es sich,
Und wachend ist's vor mir,
Und sanft und mächtig ruft es mich,
Ewig zu ihr, zu ihr.

Und atm' ich ihre süße Näh'
Wie stille wird mein Sinn,
Gleich einem Strom in tiefer See
Fließt meine Seele hin.

All mein Verlangen kommt zur Ruh,
Mein Sehnen schlummert ein,
Denn meine Sehnsucht bist nur du,
Nur du und du allein.
