Man braucht nicht Gut und Geld; Nur Vöglein in den Bäumen Und Engel in den Träumen, Und Frühling in der Welt! Was braucht man wohl zur Liebe? Man braucht nicht Glanz und Kron'; Nur in des Himmels Hallen Die Sterne zu Vasallen, Den Sonnenschein zum Thron! Was braucht man wohl zur Liebe? Zwei Herzen, jung und weich; Zwei Seelen, die sich trauen, Die hell und freudig schauen In's offne Himmelreich!
