Um die Liebe, um die große, Die mein ganzes Herz durchquillt, Um die arme, hoffnungslose - Unerfüllbar, unerfüllt! Nimmer weiß ich's, was ich tue, Nimmer denk' ich's, daß ich schlief! Ohne Glück und ohne Ruhe Lieb' ich dich -- und doch so tief!
