by Cécile Sauvage (1883 - 1927)

Je me souviens d’un paysage
Language: French (Français)
Je me souviens d’un paysage
Où la neige molle tombait,
Pareille à l’indolent plumage
D’un grand oiseau qui se dévêt.

Assise près de la croisée,
Je regardais le sol blanchir
Et les ramures dénudées
Sous les flocons s’épanouir.

On eût dit une moisson triste
D’herbe pâle qui s’étendait,
Où le cœur perdu somnolait
Sans savoir même qu’il existe ;

Et lointains, les oiseaux nageaient
Dans l’eau dormante de la brume
Comme des oiseaux plus légers
Qui ne seraient faits que de plumes.
