by Detlev von Liliencron (1844 - 1909)

Mittagschläfchen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Ein Vogel sang im Apfelbaum
Sein einfach Frühlingslied.
Es sang mich in den schönsten Traum
Der liebe Störenfried:

Der Mohrenknabe führt am Zaum
Ein weiß arabisch Roß,
Zeigt rückwärts mit dem andern Daum
Auf ein umgrüntes Schloß.

Die Stufen nieder, hörbar kaum,
Ein Füßchen, chic, geschickt.
Das Händchen hält den schweren Saum,
Die Reiherfeder nickt.

Am Himmelsblau ein weißer Flaum.
Wir reiten miteinand
Still durch den sonnbeglänzten Raum,
Wir reiten Hand in Hand.
