by Christian Felix Weisse (1726 - 1804)

Ein Verweis
Language: German (Deutsch)
Mein sag' mir, Niclas, wie du bist;
Da weinst du, weil ich dir erzählet,
Daß mich die Mutter ausgeschmälet,
Daß du mich, weiß du wohl, geküßt.

Du Narr, wie schmält sie denn auf dich,
Ich will dir wieder was erzählen --
Laß doch die Mutter immer schmälen,
Und komm' du her und küsse mich!

Confirmed with Christian Felix Weisse, Scherzhafte Lieder, dritte, vermehrte und verbesserte Auflage, Leipzig: M. G. Weidemanns Erben und Reich, 1763, page 93.
