Květ vábných broskví chvěl se, jak by v zářném vánku motýl zavál růžným křídlem. Voda s úsměvem zrcadlí mi štíhlý peň. Kdy skonč trýzeň má? S východním vánkem jde vlahá vůně rozkvétajících broskví z dáli mi vstříc. Vnímám ji sláb a mdlý. A těžce splývá verš s malátných retů. Ach, kéž přijde noc a přijme moji trýzeň v svou vlídnou náruč, toužně ždaný spánek.

Podzime chorý, nejdražší, skončíš poů, až uragán začne vát ti zas do růží. A až do sadů tvých napadne sníh. Podzime můj, bohat zmiráš a vločky bílé plodý tě zdobí. Z hlubin nebských krahujci shlížejí na vodníky a rusalky rusé, kterým je navždy bez lásky žít. Z dáli říje hlas zvučí, teskné troubení. Jak jsem, podzime, rád, když mi tvé hlasy zní, ovoce když na zem padá a vítr když v slzách podzimu ze zahrad listí hnané oplakává. Povadlou líci, nádraží spící, žítí prchající.
