Schöne Wiege meiner Leiden

Language: German (Deutsch)

Schöne Wiege meiner Leiden,
schönes Grabmal meiner Ruh',
schöne Stadt, wir müssen scheiden, -
Lebe wohl! ruf' ich dir zu.

Lebe wohl, du heil'ge Schwelle,
wo da wandelt Liebchen traut;
lebe wohl! du heil'ge Stelle,
wo ich sie zuerst geschaut.

Hätt' ich dich doch nie [gesehen]1,
schöne Herzenskönigin!
Nimmer wär' es dann geschehen,
daß ich jetzt so elend bin.

Nie wollt' ich dein Herze rühren,
Liebe hab' ich nie erfleht;
nur ein stilles Leben führen
wollt' ich, wo dein Odem weht.

Doch du drängst mich selbst von hinnen,
bittre Worte spricht dein Mund;
Wahnsinn wühlt in meinen Sinnen,
und mein Herz ist krank und wund.

Und die Glieder matt und träge
schlepp' ich fort am Wanderstab,
bis mein müdes Haupt ich lege
ferne in ein kühles Grab.

Bell bressol del meu dolor

Language: Catalan (Català) after the German (Deutsch)

Bell bressol del meu dolor,
bella tomba de la meva pau,
bonica ciutat, ens hem de separar, --
jo et dic adéu!

Adéu, sagrat llindar,
allà on passeja la meva estimada;
adéu sagrat indret,
on la veié per primera vegada.

Tant de bo mai t’hagués vist,
bella reina del meu cor!
Així mai s’hagués esdevingut
que jo ara sigui tan desgraciat.

Mai he volgut commoure el teu cor
ni mai he implorat el teu amor;
només volia viure tranquil
on bleixa el teu alè.

Però tu m’has empès lluny d’aquí,
amb agres paraules sortint de la teva boca;
la follia torba els meus sentits
i el meu cor està malalt i ferit.

I amb els membres febles, inerts,
m’arrossego fora d’aquí amb un bastó,
fins posar la meva fatigada testa,
lluny, en un fred sepulcre.
