Dauernde Liebe
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  CAT DUT FRE
Mein Schatz, ich hab es erfahren,
Daß du willst scheiden von mir;
Tu mir die Ursache sagen,
Was ich getan hab dir?

Kann dir kein Ursache sagen,
weiß weder Zeit noch Stund;
komm ich in fremde Lande,
gar bald vergeß ich dein!

Und als er kam in die Fremde,
dacht er noch etliche Mal:
"Muß wied'r einmal nach Hause,
Muß halten mein ehrliches Wort!"

Und als er wieder nach Hause kam,
Feinsliebchen stand vor der Tür:
"Gott grüße dich, mein Schätzchen,
Sehn wir einander hier?"

Was tat er ihr bald schenken?
Ein schön Goldringelein.
Was schenket sie ihm bald wieder?
Ein schön Goldkränzelein.

Womit war es gebunden?
Mit lauter Liebesband.
Wohl mit Jelängerjelieber,
von Gottes Vaterhand.

Blijvende liefde
Language: Dutch (Nederlands)  after the German (Deutsch)
Mijn schat, ik heb het vernomen,
Dat jij wilt weggaan van mij;
Wil mij de oorzaak vertellen:
Waarvan werd jij niet blij?

‘k Kan jou geen oorzaak vertellen,
‘k Weet noch de tijd noch ’t uur;
Kom ik in vreemde landen,
Heel gauw vergeet ik jou!

En toen hij kwam in den vreemde,
Dacht hij nog menige keer:
“’k Moet eenmaal weer naar huis toe,
‘k Moet houden mijn erewoord!”

En toen hij weer naar huis toe kwam,
Zijn schatje stond voor de deur:
Hallo, gegroet, mijn schatje,
Zien wij elkander hier?”

Wat heeft hij haar geschonken?
Een mooie gouden ring.
Wat geeft zij hem van háár kant?
Een krans vol goudblingbling.

Waarmee was die gebonden?
Met louter liefdesband,
En ook met ‘hoelangerhoeliever’1
Door God met vaderhand.
