hostalatge a aquesta cort celestial?
Concediu-me la vostra vida immortal,
oh déus! Què us pot donar un mortal?
Feu-me pujar al vostre Olimp!
La joia, que solament resideix a l’estança de Júpiter,
oh ompliu-la de nèctar, oh passeu-me la copa!

Passa-li la copa! Dóna de beure al poeta,
Hebe, dóna-li tan sols de beure!
Humiteja-li els ulls amb rosada celestial,
per què no pugui veure Estix, l’abominable,
