Am Bach viel kleine Blumen stehn

Language: German (Deutsch)

Am Bach viel kleine Blumen stehn,
Aus hellen blauen Augen sehn;
Der Bach, der ist des Müllers Freund,
Und hellblau Liebchens Auge scheint,
Drum sind es meine Blumen.

Dicht unter ihrem Fensterlein,
[Da pflanz' ich meine Blumen ein]1,
Da ruft ihr zu, wenn alles schweigt,
Wenn sich ihr Haupt zum Schlummer neigt,
Ihr wißt ja, was ich meine.

Und wenn sie tät die Äuglein zu
Und schläft in süßer, süßer Ruh,
Dann lispelt als ein Traumgesicht
Ihr zu: Vergiß, vergiß mein nicht!
Das ist es, was ich meine.

Und schließt sie früh die Laden auf,
Dann schaut mit Liebesblick hinauf:
Der Tau in euren Äugelein,
Das sollen meine Tränen sein,
Die will ich auf euch weinen.

I fiori del mugnaio

Language: Italian (Italiano) after the German (Deutsch)

 Sulla riva del ruscello stanno tanti fiorellini,
 sembrano tanti chiari occhi celesti;
 il ruscello è l'amico del mugnaio,
 celesti splendono gli occhi della mia cara:
 perciò questi sono i miei fiori.

 Sotto la sua finestra
 voglio piantare i fiori,
 parlatele, quando tutto tace,
 quando reclina la testa al sonno.
 Voi sapete che cosa intendo.

 E quando lei chiude gli occhi
 e dorme dolcissimi sonni,
 allora sussurratele, apparendole
 in sogno: "non ti scordar, non ti scordar di me!"
 Questo è ciò che intendo.

 E quando al mattino apre la finestra,
 lanciate in alto uno sguardo d'amore;
 la rugiada nei vostri occhi
 sia le lacrime d'amore
 che su di voi piangerò.
