Le ruisseau est l'ami du meunier,

Juste sous sa petite fenêtre
Là je planterai mes fleurs
Là vous l'appellerez, quand tout est tranquille,
Quand sa tête se penche dans le sommeil,
Vous savez ce que je veux dire.
 
Et quand elle fermera ses petits yeux
