Die Liebe
Language: German (Deutsch)  after the Alemannic
Our translations:  DUT ENG FRE
Wo weht der Liebe hoher Geist? ...
Er weht in Blum' und Baum,
Im weiten Erdenraum;
Er weht, wo sich die Knospen spalten,
Und wo die Blümlein sich entfalten.

Wo weht der Liebe hoher Geist? ...
Er weht im Abendglanz,
Er weht im Sternenkranz;
Wo Bien' und Mayenkäfer schwirren,
Und zart die Turteltauben girren.

Wo weht der Liebe hoher Geist? ...
Er weht, bey Freud' und Schmerz,
In aller Mütter  Herz;
Er weht in jungen Nachtigallen,
Wenn lieblich ihre Lieder schallen.

Wo weht der Liebe hoher Geist? ...
In Wasser, Feuer, Luft,
Und in des Morgens Duft;
Er weht, wo sich ein Leben reget,
Und wo sich nur ein Herz beweget.

De liefde
Language: Dutch (Nederlands)  after the German (Deutsch)
Waar waait der liefde noob'le geest?
Hij waait in bloem en boom,
In aarde's ecodroom.
Hij waait, alwaar de knoppen spruiten
En waar de bloempjes zich ontsluiten.

Waar waait der liefde noob'le geest?
Hij waait in avondglans,
Hij waait in sterrenkrans,
Waar meikevers en bijen toeren
En zacht de tortelduiven koeren.

Waar waait der liefde noob'le geest?
Hij waait bij vreugd' en smart,
In ieder moederhart,
Hij waait in jonge nachtegalen
Als zij ons op hun lied onthalen.

Waar waait der liefde noob'le geest?
In water, vuur en fleur,
En in de morgengeur,
Hij waait waar iets beweegt van leven
En waar je maar een hart voelt beven.
