La rosa: Gràcies, Senyor, allà dalt al país de les estrelles, tu m’has conduït vers una mà paterna i a la copa del sofriment hi ha caigut una gota del cel, dolça i fresca; ara, que el repòs sigui concedit a la fatigada, perquè, enfortida, pugui mirar al nou dia i afrontar tot el que portarà! (Adormint-se). Potser pensen en mi? Cor dels elfs: Germaneta! A la llum de les estrelles, no sents la nostra cançó? No sents les delicades campanetes, poncelles de roses? A la llum de les estrelles, no sents el cant dels elfs? No et deixis entabanar, torna amb nosaltres, no esperis la felicitat! Només amb nosaltres, al reialme dels elfs, habita la felicitat, mentre que el dolor i la pena habiten al cor dels humans. Germaneta! En els teus somnis no ressona la nostra salutació? A la llum de la lluna, no sents les nostres besades? No et deixis entabanar, torna amb nosaltres, no esperis la felicitat! Creus de veritat que a la terra habita la felicitat duradora?
