Ich steh schon lang vor eurer Tür, o Schäferin eröffnet mir die Pfort, die Pfort, die Pfort. "Wer da? wer klopft vor meiner Tür und will zu mir herein? Mein Hüttlein ich eröffne nicht, ich lasse niemand ein, und wenn er auch der Schönste wär, so macht er mir mein Herz nicht schwer. Umsonst! Umsonst! Umsonst!" Die finstre Nacht hat mich verführt in'n Wald, mein trautes Kind! Drum bitt ich, schlagts euch aus dem Sinn und macht mir auf geschwind; ich hab mich allzeit aufgeführt, Wies einem treuen Hirt'n gebührt, Allzeit, allzeit, allzeit.
