Komm, süßer Schlaf, du Trost der Nacht, Schließ sanft mein Auge zu! Ich hab' vergangner Zeit gedacht, Mein Herz verlangt nach Ruh. Einst stilltest du nach Kuß und Scherz Verborg'ner Liebe Glück, Und lehntest an sein warmes Herz Mein selig Haupt zurück. Nun ist er längst zu Grab gebracht Und Lieb' und Glück dazu.
