Im Rhein, im schönen Strome
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  CAT DUT DUT ENG FIN FRE GRE HEB ITA SPA
Im Rhein, im schönen Strome,
Da spiegelt sich in den Well'n
Mit seinem großen Dome
Das große, heil'ge Köln.

Im Dom da steht ein Bildnis,
Auf goldnem Leder gemalt;
In meines Lebens Wildnis
Hat's freundlich hineingestrahlt.

Es schweben Blumen und Eng'lein
Um unsre liebe Frau;
Die Augen, die Lippen, die Wänglein,
Die gleichen der Liebsten genau.

Reinin, pyhän/ihanan virran
NOTE: the footnotes have been removed from this text; return to general view
Language: Finnish (Suomi)  after the German (Deutsch)
Reinin, pyhän/ihanan virran
aaltoihin kuvastuu
mahtavine tuomiokirkkoineen
suuri ja pyhä Köln.

Sisällä kirkossa on taulu,
joka on maalattu kullatulle nahalle;
elämäni erämaahan
se taulu on luonut ystävällisiä säteitään.

Kukkia ja pieniä enkeleitä leijuu
Pyhän Neitsyen ympärillä;
hänen silmänsä, huulensa, poskensa
ovat aivan samanlaiset kuin rakkaimmallani.
