by Rainer Maria Rilke (1875 - 1926)

Die Dörfer sind wie ein Garten
Language: German (Deutsch)
Die Dörfer sind wie ein Garten
In Türmen von seltsamen Arten
klingen die Glocken wie weh,
Uferschlösser warten
und schauen aus schwarzen Scharten
müd auf den Mittagssee.
Und silberne Wellen spielen
und goldene Dampfer kielen
leise den lichten Lauf.
Und hinter den Uferzielen
tauchen die vielen, vielen
Silberberge auf.
