Jo vull viure, jo vull viure
i estimar i ser estimat
bo i fruint la vida lliure
sota un cel esperançat.

Com herald de l’alegria
sense pena i sense dol,
vui cantar de nit i dia
lo mateix que el rossinyol.

Vull trenar cançons vibrantes
impregnades de vigor,
que s’endinzin ressonantes
en els cors sedents d’amor.

Cada nota de ma lira
vull que engendri un altre cant
vull que sigui la guspira
del foc nou que es va abrellant.

Jo vull viure, jo vull viure
i estimant en germanor
difrutar la vida lliure
com l’ocell refilador.

Effusion
Language: English  after the Catalan (Català)
I want to live, I want to live,
and to love, and be loved,
as well as to enjoy a free life
under a sky of hope.

As a herald of joy,
without pain or sorrow,
I want to sing night and day
as the nightingale does.

I want to create vibrant songs
filled with vitality
that, resonant, go deep
into the hearts thirsting for love.

I want that each note of my lyre
engenders a new song,
I want it to be the spark
of the new fire that propagates.

I want to live, I want to live,
and, loving in fellowship,
to enjoy a free life
like a singing bird.
