Sagan om Rosalind
Language: Swedish (Svenska)
Our translations:  FIN
Fast morgonvindar strömmar
igenom ask och lind,
jag kan ej sluta att drömma
om liten Rosalind.

I blomsterlund jag går,
hon följer mina spår,
och lockande hon säger:
”Blir dig ej dagen lång?
Kom låt mig reda ditt läger,
och sov vid min kärlekssång!”

Fast tonerna blir tunga
som regn i höstlig vind,
jag kan ej slita att sjunga
om liten Rosalind.
Bort flyga mina år,
min vän jag aldrig får.

Hon är ju en saga bara,
har aldrig egt liv och själ;
och skulle en annan hon vara,
så är hon borta likväl.

Satu Rosalindista
Language: Finnish (Suomi)  after the Swedish (Svenska)
Vaikka aamutuulet jo puhaltavatkin
saarnin ja lehmuksen läpi.
en voi olla uneksimatta
pikku Rosalindista.

Kuljen kukkivassa lehdossa,
hän seuraa jäljessäni
ja sanoo viekoittelevasti:
”Eikö sinua jo väsytä?
Tule, niin valmistan sinulle vuoteen,
ja saat uinahtaa, kun laulan rakkaudesta!”

Vaikka sävelet tuntuvatkin raskailta
kuin sade syksyn tuulessa,
en voi olla laulamatta
pikku Rosalindista.
Vuoteni kiitävät pois,
ystävääni en koskaan saa omakseni.

Hänhän on vain pelkkää satua,
ei hänellä koskaan ollut elämää tai sielua;
ja vaikka hän olisikin ollut jotain muuta,
hän on joka tapauksessa poissa.
