On me donne un peu d'eau avec un bout de pain.

die aus dem Krieg heimkehren und kein Geld haben.

Meine Frau hat einen Andern, sie lacht mir ins Gesicht.
Mein Hund versucht mich zu beißen und ist mir davongelaufen.

Man schimpft mich einen Trinker, und wenn ich gern Wein hätte,
reicht man mir ein wenig Wasser mit einem Stück Brot.
