fanden gaper med halsen hól
etter bå gamall og ung.
Vil de på denne fyre-jol inn i flokken?

Ein etter annan dei svarar Ja;
det tykkjer fanden món;
upp dei steller seg då i rad
liksom til konfirmasjon.
Prøvast dei må før han vil dei ha inn i flokken.
