Weißer Flieder ‑‑ ‑‑ wo blüht der weiße...
Language: English

White lilacs
Language: English  after the English
White lilacs -- -- where do white lilacs bloom?
Sun, tell me -- the sun has set --
You sparkling star, where do white lilacs bloom?
-- Enough of tulips, I have drunk my fill [from them].

I lay upon a leaf beside a farmhouse
And languidly moved my wings,
Then a thirst for white lilacs came
Over the mountains and over the hills.

And over the waters and flowed through the land,
And longing bound my wings.
Now I hang and dream again.
Where do white lilacs bloom?
