Lustig sei gezecht drum Page, 
giess' alle Krüge voll,
Weil Alles trinken soll guten Wein schenk ein.

Und Blumen, Blumen trag' herbei, 
wie sie der Sommer bringt,
Den Kranz von Rosen und Jasmin 
um meine Locken schlingt.

Wie sie auch heissen mag, ob Gretchen, ob Marie,
ich trinke lustig siehe, ich trink' den ganzen Tag.
Du denk; an deine schöne junge Magdalen!
Wenn dich die Liebe sticht, o Freund vergiss sie nicht, 
mein Page, vergiss sie nicht.

Wohlan! benützen wir die Zeit, betrügen wir den Tod,
es leuchtet ja für uns vielleicht kein neues Morgenroth.
