Wollt ihr sie kennen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  DUT
Wollt ihr sie kennen,
soll ich sie nennen,
welche von allen Farben
am besten mir gefallen?

Blau ist die eine,
die ich mir meine;
liebliche Bläue
schaut aus den Augen ihr!
Liebe und Treue.

Weiß ist die zweite,
so meine Freude.
Sie, die ich meine,
Weiß ist die Farbe ihr!
Unschuld und Reine.

Braun ist die dritte,
wer mir's auch stritte,
schau' ich der Lieben
lieblich gelocktes Haar,
muß ich sie lieben.

Und dann noch eine!
Freundlich im Scheine.
Röthe der Rose!
Und das Gesichtchen ist's,
mit dem ich kose.

Moet ik z’ u noemen
Language: Dutch (Nederlands)  after the German (Deutsch)
Moet ik z’ u noemen,
Zal ik ze roemen,
Welke van alle kleuren
Het beste mij altijd bevallen?

Blauw is de eerste
Die ‘k eer ten zeerste;
’t Lieflijke blauwe
Straalt uit haar ogenpaar!
Liefde en trouwe.

Wit is de tweede,
Maakt mij tevreden.
Zij die mijn hart vult,
Wit is haar ware kleur!
Reinheid en onschuld.

Bruin is de derde,
Mijn hoog besterde,
Zie ik van ’t liefje
’t Lieflijk gelokte haar,
Z’ is ‘t hartediefje.

En dan nog eentje,
’n Mooi edelsteentje.
Rood als de rozen!
En dat gezichtje is ‘t
Dat ik mag kozen.
