no le quiero molinero 
y porque le llaman el maquilandero, 
que le quiero labrador 
que coja los bueyes y se vaya a arar 
y la medianoche me venga a rondar. 

Que suba a aquella montaña 
y coja la rama del verde laurel 
y a la mi ventana la venga a poner. 
Yo le quiero labrador 
que me venga a rondar. 

Labrador, labrador, a tu mies... 

Porque el molinero 
o el maquilandero, yo sé 
que no llevarían los bueyes al campo «p'arar». 
Labrador le quiero yo 
que coja la rama, sí, 
y a la medianoche me venga a rondar. 
Molinero...

Der Müller

Dem Bauer, seinem Feld, 
den will ich Bauer.
Denn ich keinen Müller mag, 
well alle ihm als Steuermann kennen, 
den will ich Bauer, 
dass er mit den Ochsen fährt, 
und zum pflügen geht, 
und um Mitternacht mir den Hof macht. 

Dass er diesen Berg aufgeht, 
dass er die grüne Lorbeerbranche nimmt, 
und an meinem Fenster sie liegt.   
Den will ich Bauer, 
dass er mir den Hof macht. 



Weil der Müller, oder der Steuermann, ich weiss, 
dass er nicht die Ochsen 
durchs Feld zum pflügen bringen wird. 
Den will ich Bauer, 
dass er die Branche nimmt, 
und um Mitternacht mir den Hof macht. 
Müller!
