by Manfred Kyber (1880 - 1933)

Das andere Ufer
Language: German (Deutsch)
Einmal wird ein Ende
aller Irrfahrt sein.
Müd geword'ne Hände
ziehn die Segel ein.

Leise [ruft der]1 Rufer
allen Sturm zur Ruh.
Einem [andern]2 Ufer
treibt der Nachen zu.

Und die vor mir gingen,
schauen nach mir aus,
um mich heim zu bringen
in mein Vaterhaus.

Wortlos knie ich nieder
in den Silbersand:
[nimm mich]3, nimm mich wieder,
seliges Sonnenland!
