Grüß mir, die drinnen sind, richt mirs recht aus.
Sommers blühn Rosen dort, Winters liegt Schnee,
schau ich zum Fenster auf, tut mirs so weh.

’s Vöglein singt hoch vom Haus: 
«Weißt du, wie’s ist, 
schaut man nach einem aus,
der uns vergißt?»
