Canción cantada
Language: Spanish (Español)
Available translation(s): ENG FRE
En el gris,
el pájaro Griffón
se vestía de gris.
Y la niña Kikirikí
perdía su blancor
y forma allí.
Para entrar en el gris
me pinté de gris.
¡Y cómo relumbraba
en el gris!

The Sung Song
Language: English  after the Spanish (Español)
In the gray,
the griffon vulture
was dressed in gray.
And the Kikiriki girl
lost her whiteness
and her form here.
To get into the grayness,
I painted myself gray.
And how I shimmered
in the gray!
Note for line 4: Kikiriki is a typically European spelling for the call of a rooster (like the English phrase “cock-adoodle-doo”). This word is also a colloquial way to describe a person as aggressive.
