Al principi regnaven aquells pietosos prínceps per beneir el camp, el blat i l’arada, i exercir el dret del sacrifici i la mesura en la nissaga dels mortals, que sedegen per el legítim obrar dels éssers invisibles que mantenen en equilibri el sol i la lluna, i que llurs eternes i radiants figures no coneixen el món de la sofrença i la mort. Fa molt temps que el llinatge dels fills de Déu s’extingí, i la humanitat restà tota sola en el deliri del goig i la pena, lluny de l’essència, un esdevenir etern sense mesura ni benedicció. Però jamai morí el pressentiment d’una vida veritable i, en la decadència, la nostra tasca és preservar l’exhortació de la sagrada veneració mitjançant jocs de símbols, paràboles i cants. Potser un dia la foscúria s’esvanirà, potser de nou els temps canviaran de forma que el sol regni com Déu sobre nosaltres i accepti ofrenes de les nostres mans.
