og unge Augo mot Dagen stirer.
Vaar Hug er Björki, der Fuglen smett
med Leik i Lauvet, som braar og bankar.
Og Hjarta bankar, 
og ore Tankar
dei lettar Ankar 
med kvite Segl.

Det er vel hugsamt i Ungdoms Aar
aa gaa til Arbeid med Lyst og Glede;
naar Jordi jublar av Von og Vaar
og ligger lagleg for Plog og Sæde 
og Blomen breider 
seg alle Leider, 
og Livet reider 
sin Rikdom ut!

Og Himlen sender si Signing ned,
so Mod og Evna med Yrket stiger,
ei Livsens Baara oss förer med 
og berer Verket vaart fram til Siger.
Me saar med Möda,
men fager Gröda
me inn i Löda
skal faa i Haust.

Chant du matin
Language: French (Français)  after the Norwegian (Nynorsk) 
Maintenant le jour fait briller la rosée
et les jeunes yeux regardent fixement le jour.
Notre âme est comme un bouleau où se glisse un oiseau,
jouant dans le feuillage qui frémit et palpite.
Et le cœur bat,
et nos pensées
lèvent l'ancre
avec des voiles blanches.

Il est bien agréable aux jeunes années
d’aller au travail avec joie et plaisir
lorsqu’au printemps la terre exulte
et se tient prête pour la charrue et les semailles,
quand les fleurs s’épanouissent
de tous côtés
et que la vie déploie
ses richesses.

Et le ciel envoie sa bénédiction,
ainsi courage et savoir croissent au travail,
une vague de vie nous emporte
et conduit notre travail à la victoire.
Nous semons avec peine,
mais nous rentrerons dans la grange
une belle récolte
quand viendra l’automne.
