Però has d’anar de pressa –
jo faig set milles
a cada pas.
Allà, darrere el bosc i el tossal
hi ha el meu cavall vermell.
Vine amb mi! Jo porto les regnes –
vine amb mi al meu castell vermell.
Allà hi creixen arbres blaus
amb pomes d’or,
allà, d’argent seran els nostres somnis
que ningú altre pot somiar,
allà dormiten insòlits plaers
que mai ningú altre ha gaudit,
besades ardents sota els llorers –
vine amb mi damunt el bosc i el tossal!
Agafa’t fort! Jo porto les regnes,
i fremint, et rapta el meu cavall vermell.
