by Heinrich Leuthold (1827 - 1879)

Aus dem Süden
Language: German (Deutsch)
Nicht allein in Rathaussälen
Zwischen Akten voll von Schimmel,
Hier auch unter blauem Himmel
Wo sich Land und Meer vermählen

Kann man seine Zeit verdehnen,
Philosophisch voll Behagen
Welten in dem Busen tragen
Und ein All sich selber wähnen.

Hier auch kann man müßig lungern
Und mit Träumen sich erquicken;
Nicht in kleinen Republiken
Braucht ein Dichter zu verhungern.
