by Franz Evers (1871 - 1947)

Abendlied
Language: German (Deutsch)
Du ferne Flöte
Hinter dem Hügel dort,
Wie sprichts du glühenden Klangs,
Was mein Herz verschwiegen muß,
Wie bebst du zitternd dahin
Über die Apfelblüten im Mondenlicht,
Daß die Schatten der Bäume
Zu schwinden scheinen
Und Alles in Glanz getauche
Selige Sehnsucht wird,
Aus Menschenschmerz leise sich ringende
Selige Lebensglut.

Einsame Stimme du
Hinter dem Hügel dort,
Mein Herz, mein Herz sprichst du aus.
