Wiegenlied
Language: German (Deutsch)
Schlaf, mein liebes Kind, schlaf ein!
Hin ist Tag und Sonnenschein.
Hast dein fröhlich Werk vollbracht,
Hast gespielt, gescherzt, gelacht.
Bist so müde, schlaf nun ein,
Mutter will auch bei dir sein!

Leuchtend durch des Himmels Plan
rollen Welten ihre Bahn.
Auch die Wieg' ist eine Welt,
die im Schweben sich erhält.
Schlaf nur, Kind; der Welten lenkt,
auch an deine Wiege denkt.

Sieh, die Äuglein schlossen sich;
Schläfst so sanft, wie freu' ich mich!
Nicht ein Gliedchen mehr sich regt,
Nur das kleine Herzchen schlägt.
Gottes Vaterauge wacht,
Süsser Engel, gute Nacht!
