És una bona caminada quan la neu de les muntanyes alpines resplendeix gèlida, dementre el primer llac blau d'Itàlia ja s’albira al límit de la vista! A través del vent dels cims i de l'aire aspriu arriba una dolça premonició d’un perfum llunyà de violetes i del mar del sud banyat pel sol. I més enllà, els ulls anhelen la vista de la brillant catedral de Florència i somien, darrere cada serralada de tossals, dreçar-se la ciutat resplendent de Roma. Ja, sense adonar-se'n, els llavis formen els sons de la bella llengua estrangera, mentre un mar de delit transfigurat, blau, se t’apropa tremolant càlidament.
