Um Mitternacht blühen die Blumen
Im Strahl des Vollmonds auf,
Da steigen aus ihren Kelchen
Die lieblichsten Elfen herauf. 

Sie schweben und schwingen den Reigen 
Und neigen und dreh'n sich im Chor,
Und selig erwachen die Vögel 
Und schau'n aus den Zweigen hervor.

Ein Rauschen wie Frühlingsgeflüster
Geht leise von Baum zu Baum,
Und treue, liebende Herzen 
Träumen den schönsten Traum.

A mitjanit brosten les flors
sota els raigs de la lluna plena,
aleshores, de llurs calzes surten
els més gentils dels elfs.

Ells suren i fan la rotllana
i es vinclen i giravolten en un cor,
i feliços els ocells es desperten
i esguarden des de les branques.

Una remor, com un murmuri de primavera,
va suaument d’arbre en arbre,
i els cors fidels i amants
somien el més bell dels somnis.
