Trèmula rialla de dia daurat;
ventijol qui calla en la immensitat.
Palpitant i jove majestat d' Abril;
vestidura nova del arbres.
Sotil diàfana i clara delícia del verd,
amb que el món, suara, de llum s'és cobert
quan el fontinyó tremolant,
sentia la seva frescor tornada alegria.
Pluja lenta i blanca de flors d'ametller,
qui cau de la branca quan l'oratjol ve.
Noies pels portals; finestra enramada;
festes matinals xopes de rosada.
I passa l'Abril damunt de poncelles,
xamós i gentil cantant caramelles.

April

Language: English after the Catalan (Català)

Tremulous laughter of a golden day;
breeze that becomes still in immensity.
Young and palpitating majesty of April;
new vesture for the trees.
Subtle, limpid and clear delight of the green,
that with its light the world has just covered itself
when the trembling small fountain
sensed its coolness turning to joy.
Gentle, white shower of almond tree flowers,
that fall from the branches at the gust of a breeze.
Girls at the portals, adorned window;
morning celebrations moist with dew.
And April marches over flower buds,
gracious and soft, singing Easter songs.
