the donkey sets off running.
And finds a cherry tree
loaded with green figs.
She flings a stone to the tree
and an almond falls down.
The almond hits her foot
and her ear bleeds.
The blood shed
makes seven torrents run.
It is going to be measured
and makes a hazelnut half full.
A dog fell into a well
and a blind man was watching it.
A dumb man was calling people
and a deaf man was listening.
Rabbits run in the sea
and eels in the forest.
And under carob trees
sardines grow.
This is the song
the song of lies.
Whoever wants to know it
to the Philippines must go.
