Du und ich . . . und über uns Beiden die...
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  ENG
Du und ich . .

You and I . . . and above the two of us,...
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
You and I . . . and above the two of us, the night!
Incline your brow so that I may embrace you in a kiss.
Incline your ear -- I shall breathe sweet things into it,
Bliss and pain, as it burgeons in my heart. --
You and I . . . Nothing else was given to us
But this happiness that we conceal from the sun.
Look, already the solitary path is dipping downward --
Blessed bliss stands smiling in the valley of death.
