Wonne und Weh, so wie's mir emporblüht im Herzen. --
Du und ich . . . Es ward uns nichts Andres bescheert
Als dieses Glück, das wir der Sonne verbergen.
Sieh, schon senkt sich abwärts der einsame Pfad --
Selige Lust steht lächelnd im Thale des Todes.
