by Jacqueline E. van der Waals (1868 - 1922)

Op het geitenweitje
Language: Dutch (Nederlands)
Op het geitenweitje
Staat het kleine geitje
Bij de groote geit.
Geiteke, wat moet je
Met je fijne snoetje,
Dat zoo klaaglijk schreit?

Met je bleeke bekje?
Geiteke, wat rek je,
Trek je aan het touw?
Snuffende aan mijn mouwen....
Met je lief vertrouwen
In zoo'n vreemde vrouw!

In mijn handen stop je
Nu je jonge kopje:
Zeg, wat moet ik doen?....
Op het geitenweitje
Staat het kleine geitje,
Als een wittigheidje
In het prille groen.
